SunSwitch uses mobile communication from Proximus to monitor photovoltaic panels. The company is able to gather production data and instantly detect defects remotely. Via the Web application GreenWatch, the customers also have insight into their production figures. This lets them keep an eye on the returns generated by their installation. In 2011 the chain of retail opticians Hans Anders will be connecting six new shops in Belgium with its datacenter in the Netherlands via Belgacom Explore. By the middle of next year, Hans Anders will have over 90 locations in Belgium. They will all be switched over to Explore. Because the IT environment is organized centrally in Gorinchem, quickly establishing the network connection for new shops - and the high availability of the network- is a key element for Hans Anders. Belgacom Explore is geared toward this need. The connection of a new shop can be done in four weeks.
