Wednesday May 12th, 2010Use Unified Communications from the cloud
Ever since I started in telecoms, there was this constant debate about the PABX (Private Area Branch Exchange), the telephone switch for companies. Next to the telephone set, it was *the* thing to have. And it had features like “follow me”, “login”, “conferencing” etc. And it used to be expensive, complicated to configure, big and with expensive software. Today the trend is changing : telephony comes from the cloud and is much more economical.

Tuesday October 13th, 2009BruCON conference videos and presentations online
Belgacom was the main sponsor of the BruCON conference which took place last month. BruCON is an annual security and hacker (in the positive sense of the word) conference that provided two days of exciting atmosphere for open discussions of critical information security issues, privacy, information technology and its cultural/technical implications on society. Organized in Brussels, BruCON offered a high quality line up of speakers, security challenges and interesting workshops.
BruCON was an international conference, with 300 attendees from all over the world. The talks covered a lot of different ground and topics, including cryptography, social engineering, SQL injection, cyber warfare, botnets, hackerspaces, kiosk hacking, and a lot more. Some of the material has been prepared exclusively for this event and won’t be available elsewhere which is definitely another good reason to attend next year.
