From zero to hero

Louis Mahy (CIO Record Bank) develops new IT environment

Record Bank is the product of a series of mergers and acquisitions. This initially left the IT department with an extremely heterogeneous situation. Five years ago, CIO Louis Mahy started from scratch with developing a new central IT environment. From the very beginning, he made a point of maintaining a clear vision: IT needs to be a business enabler in order to allow the bank to offer financial services via various channels. Where are the boundaries of privacy?

Prof. Jos Dumortier: the honor system is better than control and repression

New communication channels increase the risk of data security incidents. But should you, therefore, completely ban the use of smartphones and tablets and block access to Facebook and LinkedIn?
