More time for the patient thanks to automatic network configurations.
Cisco Secure Wireless solutions improve cooperation between healthcare providers and increase responsiveness through the mobile provision of care. One example of this is the Cisco Biomed NAC (Network Admission Control) solution. In his presentation, Geert Geboers, a Cisco System Engineer, illustrated how this solution offers a response to the need for flexible network solutions. Hospitals can use it to automate the process where biomedical and IT equipment is linked up to the hospital network. After all, when this is done manually it takes up a great deal of time.
The Cisco technology can recognise automatically specified devices that are connected to the network, creates the right network profile and protects it against misuse and flawed practices. The valuable time that was previously lost through manual configurations disappears, leading to much fewer problems and frustrations.
